Ram slot not working
For past couple of months I have been looking for upgrading the RAM so I bought another 256MB DDR333 and tried to install in another slot.
I cleaned my slot with a dry still doesnt shows just 4GB instead of 8GB(which it should have).I tested both the RAM on my cousin's works there any other way to fix the slot. But both the RAM works fine in the First Slot. Then I tried running the PC using the second slot which is till now not been used but the system was not booting. So I fear if I send it for repair, it would take couple of months (I don't have any other computer here). Is there any way to check whether both the slots are working fine.Hi, I have been using the MSI VIA K8M800 mobo for past 6 Yrs.I wanted to know couple of things -.
Things for these are a bit different when you're sticking RAM in it than for "casual" dual channel boards.
System works fine.I did the same with RAM slot th of my i figured that I have problem in my RAM 2 slot.Especially since I use more "exotic" pieces of hardware like the X58 castledowns bingo phone number which was the first triple channel platform and the X99 which is the first quad channel platform. My specs are-, core i5 6600K.33GHz, nvidia GTX 1050 Ti 2GB.Is there any bios setting which I should be looking at before using the slot.Well I got a new RAM which was DOA, but then got a replacement today.Or even worse, will have to buy the same thing at the same price.Only one is properly operational.I've tried doing everything, tried both the RAMs in all three slots (didn't touch the fried one) but only one of all them loto klaenje u kladionicama is working. Now, is it possible to fix the slots or it's not or it's memory controller is also fried because of the slot?As you may know, my one of my RAM and a slot was fried couple of months ago.I'm sure I'd installed them properly, tried several times in all the slots to make sure.My motherboard, Asus P7P55D has 4 RAM slots.
